Camera RAW, AI, CDR, INDD, EPS/PS, EMF/WMF, DXF, DICOM, JPEG 2000 and JPEG XL require a server-side decoder or an unstable browser codec, so they are listed as unsupported rather than silently failing. PDF page 1 is rendered for input.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this tool upload my images anywhere?

No. Every decode and encode happens entirely in your browser (Canvas, Web Workers and a few lightweight in-browser codecs such as UTIF, libheif and ag-psd). Your files never leave your device.

Which formats can I read (input)?

PNG, JPG/JPEG/JFIF/JPE, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG, ICO, TIFF/TIF, TGA, PPM, HEIC/HEIF, PSD and PDF (page 1 rendered to pixels). HEIC decoding needs a modern browser.

Which formats can I write (output)?

PNG, JPG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF (where your browser supports encoding), BMP, GIF, TIFF, ICO, TGA and PPM. SVG output is only offered when the input is itself SVG (a vector-to-vector copy), because raster images cannot become vectors.

Why are camera RAW, AI, CDR, EPS and JPEG 2000 listed as unsupported?

These need a server-side decoder (libraw, Ghostscript, a CAD renderer, etc.) or an unstable browser codec. Rather than silently fail or produce broken files, this browser-only tool lists them as unsupported and explains why.

Are EXIF orientation and metadata handled?

Yes. EXIF orientation is applied automatically during decode, and for JPEG → JPEG you can tick "Preserve EXIF/ICC metadata" to splice the original EXIF/ICC markers back into the re-encoded file.

Can I convert multiple images?

Yes. Upload several files at once and convert them all to your chosen format, then download them individually or all together.
