Pong 3D
The arcade classic on a glossy 3D table. Angle your returns off the paddle edges — first to 7 wins the match.
About Pong 3D
Pong is where video games began in earnest — two paddles, one ball, nothing else — and Pong 3D keeps the purity while giving it a body: a glossy glowing table viewed in perspective, an indigo paddle on your side, a red one belonging to the computer, and a ball whose every crossing picks up a little more pace. Matches are first to 7 points, and points are scored the ancient way, by sending the ball past the other paddle.
The depth in Pong has never been speed — it is angles. Where the ball meets your paddle determines the angle it leaves at: strike it dead centre and it returns flat; catch it near the paddle's edge and it fires away diagonally, forcing your opponent to cover the far corner. Because the ball accelerates slightly with every paddle hit, rallies develop a rhythm of rising tension: the longer a rally runs, the faster it gets, until somebody's angle beats somebody's legs.
You choose the opponent before the match from under the stage: Easy, Medium or Hard AI, which changes the computer paddle's speed and accuracy rather than the rules. Easy is a gentle introduction for first-time players; Hard barely misses at all, and beating it is entirely about disguising angles and changing direction late — out-hitting it is not an option. Serves go towards the player who conceded the last point, keeping the pressure on whoever is behind.
How to Play Pong 3D
Pick your difficulty under the stage first — Easy, Medium or Hard AI — then press Start Game. The ball serves towards the player who conceded the previous point.
Move your indigo paddle (near side of the table) with the mouse, by dragging on touch, or with the Left/Right arrow keys (or A/D).
Meet the ball with the paddle to return it across the net. The strike point sets the angle: centre for a straight return, edges for sharp diagonals.
The ball speeds up a little with every paddle hit in a rally, so long rallies get faster and harder to read — expect the winning shot of a rally to come from an angle change, not from waiting.
Score a point by sending the ball past the red AI paddle; concede one if it passes yours. The score is shown live above the table.
First to 7 points wins the match, and the final score and difficulty are confirmed at the end.

Tips & Tricks
- 💡Drift back to centre after every return. The centre is the shortest trip to either corner, and most conceded points come from being caught admiring your last shot at one side of the table.
- 💡Use your paddle's edge as a weapon. A deliberate edge strike sends the ball across at the sharpest angle the game allows — on higher difficulties it is the main way to beat a paddle that never misses straight balls.
- 💡Change the angle, not just the speed. Vary your returns between flat centre hits and edge shots; a predictable return line lets even the Easy AI pre-position.
- 💡On Hard, play for the long rally. The AI's accuracy is near-perfect early in rallies, so win points by keeping the ball alive, varying angles, and letting the rising pace create the mistake.
Pong 3D — Frequently Asked Questions
How many points win a match?+
Seven — the first player to 7 points takes the match, with no win-by-two rule. Scores are shown live, and the serve goes to the player who conceded the last point.
What do the three difficulties change?+
Only the computer paddle's speed and accuracy: Easy reacts slowly and misses loose balls, Medium is a fair club player, and Hard tracks almost everything and forces you to win with angles. The ball physics and the first-to-7 format are identical on all three.
Why does the ball keep speeding up?+
Every paddle hit adds a little pace, so rallies naturally escalate — it is Pong's built-in way of guaranteeing a rally ends. The pace resets on each new serve.
Can two humans play Pong 3D?+
Not in this version — it is a single-player game against the computer, with the three AI difficulties providing the variety. For a same-device two-player game on Vimzify, try Dots and Boxes in 2 Players mode.
Does Pong 3D work on mobile or fullscreen?+
Yes. Dragging moves the paddle naturally on touch devices, and the fullscreen button on the game frame expands the table to fill your display.
