About Flappy Flight

Flappy Flight belongs to the one-button arcade lineage that Dong Nguyen's 2013 phenomenon made famous: a single input, merciless physics, and the eternal lie of "one more go". The design is a masterclass in minimalism — gravity, a flap impulse and a stream of gates are all it takes to produce genuine drama.

Your bird — a round yellow fellow drawn entirely in code — crosses a bright sky from left to right while pipe pairs scroll towards it with a 130-pixel gap to thread. A click, tap, Space or ↑ press gives an instant upward impulse; gravity (0.45 per frame) pulls constantly back down. Each gate cleared adds exactly 1 point the moment your bird passes the pipe's trailing edge. Clip a pipe, the ground or even the top of the sky and the run ends instantly, with your score and your session best displayed side by side to goad you into another attempt.

How to Play Flappy Flight

1

Press Start Flying (or click/tap once — a click on the idle screen starts the run).

2

Click, tap, or press Space or ↑ to flap: each input kicks the bird upward, and gravity pulls it down between flaps.

3

Aim for the centre of the gap in each pair of green pipes. Passing completely through a pair scores 1 point.

4

Touching a pipe, the ground strip at the bottom, or the ceiling ends the run immediately.

5

Your score and session best appear on the game-over screen. Press Fly Again to restart instantly.

Tips & Tricks

  • 💡Flap in rhythm, not in panic: the bird's arc after one flap rises then falls over a predictable span, and the masters of this genre tap like a metronome, adjusting only when a gap sits unusually high or low.
  • 💡Enter each gap slightly above its centre. Gravity will pull you down through the gap, so arriving at centre height often means clipping the bottom pipe's lip on the way out.
  • 💡Look at the next pipe, not your bird. Your peripheral vision tracks the bird fine, and reading the upcoming gap's height early is what separates scores of 5 from scores of 25.
  • 💡After a near miss, resist the double-flap. One extra flap from panic is the single most common cause of ceiling and top-pipe deaths.

Flappy Flight — Frequently Asked Questions

How is the score counted?+

One point per pipe pair fully passed — the point registers when the pipe's trailing edge passes the bird, so there is no doubt about whether you "made it". Your best score of the session is kept and shown after every run.

Does the game get faster or the gaps smaller?+

No. The scroll speed and the 130-pixel gap stay constant from the first pipe to the fiftieth — the difficulty is purely your consistency and concentration over a long run.

What exactly ends a run?+

Any contact with a pipe, the ground, or the top of the play area. The collision check is slightly forgiving — the bird's effective hitbox is a couple of pixels smaller than its drawing — but treat every pixel as deadly anyway.

Can I play with one hand on mobile?+

Yes, the entire game is one-thumb tapping. The canvas also accepts taps anywhere on it, and the Start button restarts runs without moving your hand.
