Hop the little cube frog across busy roads and log-filled rivers. Cars and water end the run — coins and distance build your score.
About Cube Hopper 3D
Cube Hopper 3D is the road-crossing arcade classic rebuilt as a blocky 3D world: a small cube frog at the bottom of an endless scrolling landscape of grass, roads and rivers, hopping one neat square at a time towards a horizon that never arrives. There is no finish line — the world generates fresh rows endlessly ahead of you and scrolls on behind — so the game is simply how far you get, measured in rows, before traffic or water claims you.
The three row types each carry their own rule. Grass is safe ground, though trees and rocks block individual squares and force you to route around them. Roads are crossed between the cars — traffic in each road row runs at its own steady speed and direction, and one touch ends the run. Rivers are the subtlest test: the water itself is deadly, and you cross by landing on floating logs that carry you sideways as they drift, so every river crossing is a moving-platform problem where standing still too long means being carried off the edge of the world.
Scoring is honest distance plus temptation: your score is the farthest row you have reached, plus 5 points for every gold coin gathered — and coins sit on grass rows, deliberately placed to make you spend extra hops sideways while the world scrolls behind you. Backtracking is allowed and sometimes wise, but only your best row counts, so the frog's march is always, in the end, forward. Your best score is kept between sessions.
How to Play Cube Hopper 3D
Press Start Game. Your cube frog starts on a safe grass row with the endless world stretching ahead — rows are generated continuously as you advance.
Hop one square at a time with the arrow keys or WASD: forward to advance, sideways to line up a crossing, backward to retreat to safety. The frog always lands squarely on a grid cell.
On grass, rest and plan — but note that trees and rocks block some squares and cannot be hopped onto.
Cross each road between its cars. Watch the traffic speed for that row first; every row moves at one constant speed. A single touch from a car ends the run.
Cross rivers only on logs. Land on a floating log and it will carry you sideways; hop to the next log or the far bank before it carries you off the side edge. Open water — and being carried off the edge — ends the run.
Collect gold coins on grass rows for +5 points each. Your score is your farthest row reached plus your coin bonus, and the run ends with both figures shown.

Tips & Tricks
- 💡Cross immediately behind a car. The gap right after a passing car is the longest guaranteed window in that row's rhythm; waiting for a 'big' gap usually means waiting forever while the world scrolls.
- 💡Land near the middle of a log. Logs drift sideways constantly, and landing near the downstream end gives the current maximum time before you are carried to the edge — then hop early rather than at the last moment.
- 💡Spend your safe time on grass wisely. Sideways hops on grass cost nothing and do not reduce your score, so line up the exact column you want before stepping into traffic.
- 💡Do not chase every coin. A coin three columns away across a busy pattern is worth 5 points; the run is worth everything. Take coins that sit near your natural line and let the rest go.
Cube Hopper 3D — Frequently Asked Questions
How is the score calculated?+
Your score is the farthest row you have reached (one point per row) plus 5 points for each gold coin collected. Retreating does not reduce it — only your best row counts — and the end screen shows your row count and coin total separately.
What can end a run?+
Three things: being touched by a car on a road, landing in open river water, or being carried off the side edge of the world while standing on a log. Grass is always safe, and there is no time limit on any row.
Does the world ever end?+
No. Rows are generated endlessly ahead of the frog in a repeating mix of grass, road and river patterns, so the game is purely about distance — every run ends with the frog, not the world.
Can I play Cube Hopper 3D on mobile or fullscreen?+
Yes. Swipe-to-hop and tap-to-hop-forward controls plus an on-screen D-pad are built in, and the fullscreen button on the game frame expands the world to fill your display.
