About Air Hockey 3D
Air Hockey 3D puts the arcade table on your screen in glossy 3D: a white low-friction surface, glowing centre circle, guarded goal mouths and mallets that transfer their real movement speed into the puck. Strike through a shot and it flies; catch it dead and the rally slows to a duel of angles.
Two full modes ship in one game. Solo mode pits you against an AI mallet that defends deep and counter-attacks when the puck comes its way. Local 2-player mode puts a friend on the same screen — Player 2 drives the red mallet with the arrow keys or a second finger on the far half of the table, while Player 1 uses mouse, touch or WASD. First to 7 goals wins in both modes.
How to Play Air Hockey 3D
Press Start Game, then pick a mode: vs AI or 2 Players (switching modes is safest between matches).
Player 1 (blue, near side): mouse, touch-drag on your half, or W A S D moves your mallet.
Player 2 (red, far side, 2P mode only): arrow keys move your mallet, or drag with a second finger on the far half.
Your mallet can roam your half up to the centre line; the puck banks off all rails and only enters through the centre goal mouth.
Goals re-serve the puck toward the player who just conceded. First to 7 goals wins the match.

- 💡Defend just in front of the goal mouth, not on it — leave swing room for clearances.
- 💡Bank shots off the side rail beat a set defence more often than straight blasts.
- 💡Strike through the puck: mallet speed at contact is what creates shot power.
- 💡In 2P, fake a charge and pull back — an over-committed opponent leaves a corner wide open.

How does local 2-player work in Air Hockey 3D?+
Pick '2 Players' under the table. Player 1 (blue) uses the mouse, a touch on the near half, or WASD. Player 2 (red) uses the arrow keys or a second finger touching the far half — two touches are tracked independently on multi-touch screens.
How many goals win an Air Hockey 3D match?+
Seven. The HUD shows both scores and the target, and after each goal the puck re-serves toward the player who conceded.
Why can't my mallet cross the centre line?+
Like real air hockey, each mallet is restricted to its own half (up to just past the centre for goal-side defence). This keeps rallies fair and stops goal-tending on the opponent's side.
Is the AI beatable?+
Yes — it tracks at a capped speed and plays safe defence. Wide bank shots and fast rebounds after its own attacks are the most reliable way past it.
