URL Parser

Break a URL into protocol, host, path and a full query-parameter table.

Frequently Asked Questions

What parts does it show?

Protocol, username and password (if present), hostname, port, pathname, every query parameter, and the hash fragment — each in its own row for easy copying.

Are query parameters decoded?

Yes. Percent-encoding is decoded for display, so %20 becomes a space and %C3%A9 becomes é.

What if the URL is invalid?

The tool reports exactly that the URL could not be parsed. Common causes are a missing protocol or illegal characters in the host.

Can I rebuild a URL from the parts?

The full normalised URL is shown at the top, which also reveals default ports removed and paths resolved by the parser.
