Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as a number?
Integers, decimals like 3.14, and negative numbers preceded by a minus sign. Thousands separators such as 1,000 are read as one number when the comma groups digits correctly.
What statistics are shown?
Count, sum, average (mean), minimum and maximum of everything extracted, updated live as you type.
Can I extract only whole numbers?
Yes. Turn off "include decimals" and values like 3.14 are split into their integer parts 3 and 14, or use "integers only" mode to match standalone integers.
Where is this useful?
Cleaning data from invoices, logs, survey responses and reports where numbers are buried inside sentences.
